When we are NEDING in a snag prone environment (wood, brush, rocks) we prefer the Eagle Claw 570. This thin wire hook is easy to bend in order to free the rig from snags. Once the hook is bent though, we do not attempt to bend it back as the hook will be severely weakened. We simply tie a new rig on.
Though easy to bend we have never had a problem landing fish with it. We do not attempt to horse fish out of cover with this hook. We have caught 5 Lb Smallmouth with no problems utilizing this hook.
